Is time with God something you prioritize, or are you in a season of life that makes it challenging to read your Bible, pray or share the Gospel? Do you feel intimidated when it comes to sharing your faith? Friend, I totally get it! It’s natural for our daily rhythms to ebb and flow as we go throughout different seasons of life. I would consider myself someone who is serious about their faith, but there have been times where I’ve struggled to make it my main priority. Not knowing how to talk about my faith in a way that didn’t feel forced and awkward has kept me quiet. When I don’t understand what I’m reading in the Bible, it’s difficult to stay motivated to keep reading. I think we’ve all experienced some form of this at different times in our lives. The key to continuing to grow in our faith isn’t envisioning what a *good* walk looks like and then trying to live up to it — that’s almost a guarantee that you’ll be disappointed. Unspoken expectations and standards aren’t the way to keep your faith growing — in fact, they’re usually the fastest way to discouragement because as soon as we miss a day or a week, jumping back in starts to feel impossible. It doesn’t have to be that way. That’s why we created a brand-new resource to help you overcome your faith challenges. Something that you can use at your own pace, learn new study methods and see actual examples of what living out your faith looks like. I Am Second is launching Live Second Academy — a brand-new free online resource center. This unique, interactive tool is your all-in-one destination for building and strengthening the foundation of your faith with none of the pressure. Live Second Academy features self-paced courses for you to learn more about topics like strengthening your prayer life, how to read the Bible and so much more. Each course is made up of short videos that take less than 10 minutes to watch. In addition to the videos, there are written study guides for notetaking and even quick quizzes to help you lock in what you’ve learned. These virtual courses can be taken at your pace — no pressure. But the learning and growth don’t stop there. Live Second Academy is also home to Live Second Groups — an interactive session that meets once a week. These sessions will be available at certain times throughout the semester and will give you the opportunity to take what you’ve learned in the courses and talk about it with other believers. Guided by a trainer and designed to be an open discussion that encourages conversation, these classes are an incredible way to grow in your faith, meet like-minded people with similar goals and have your faith-changing questions answered.
